Review Methodology

At Compliance Desk, we follow a rigorous, objective framework to evaluate and rank Anti-Money Laundering (AML) software, wallet risk checkers, and transaction monitoring tools.

To maintain absolute independence and trust, all our reviews are editorial and based entirely on public information, official vendor documentation, API specifications, and community feedback. We do not accept payment to alter rankings or write biased reviews.

Our Core Evaluation Pillars

We assess each compliance software across six key criteria, weighting each factor to calculate a final rating out of 10:

1. Database Depth & Labeled Addresses (Weight: 25%)

The core value of any AML check tool is the size and accuracy of its database. We evaluate:

  • The total number of labeled addresses in the vendor's database.
  • How often data updates are pushed to identify new mixers or sanctioned wallets.
  • Support for major global lists, including OFAC, EU, UN, and national PEP registries.

2. API Capabilities & System Integration (Weight: 20%)

For businesses processing automatic payments, integration quality is critical. We review:

  • API response times and network uptime statistics.
  • The quality and completeness of developer documentation.
  • Availability of Mobile and Web SDKs for custom checkout flows.

3. Analysis Speed (Weight: 15%)

In transaction environments (like OTC desks or P2P trades), check delays can cause transactions to fail. We test how fast the software processes manual address and transaction (TxID) queries.

4. Export & Reporting Quality (Weight: 15%)

If a user's exchange balance is frozen, they need to present formal documentation of their wallet's cleanliness. We analyze the structure and detail of exported PDF reports.

5. Pricing & Contract Flexibility (Weight: 15%)

We look at cost-efficiency across different usage volumes, checking if the vendor offers flexible pay-as-you-go packages, flat-rate monthly plans, or zero volume fee subscriptions.

6. User Interface & Localization (Weight: 10%)

We assess how easy the software is to navigate for non-technical users and verify if the dashboard is localized in major trading languages (such as Russian, Chinese, or French).

Fact-Checking & Verification Stance

All factual claims (such as company incorporation records, pricing plans, and supported networks) are checked against the vendors' official websites. We do not invent user counts, aggregate reviews, or pretend to conduct hands-on developer integrations as verified fact. Our evaluations represent an editorial analysis of how each tool compares in the digital compliance market.
